This is the second video Dr Aaron Locke and I shot last weekend after Jerry and I trained at Connection Jiu Jitsu. In this video Dr Locke explains how and why low back pain can happen during a standing guard pass. This a very common injury for Jiu Jitsu practitioners and can be resolved pretty quickly if one understands where the imbalance comes from. As Dr Locke says in the video, only stretching or strengthening the sore muscles may not resolve the problem. You have to address each side of the dysfunction, release the overworking and retrain the underworking.
